FOCO Veterans was built by veterans who know the transition from military service to civilian life firsthand.
A simpler way back into civilian life.
FOCO Veterans was started to give veterans an easier transition from their time in the service to civilian life. Veterans get out and often crave the camaraderie, structure, purpose, and sense of belonging they once had while serving their country.
We also saw a problem with information. The VA, benefits, employment, education, wellness, and transition resources can feel mountainous. Many veterans simply do not know what direction to start in.
Whether someone needs help tackling the VA, finding reliable information, navigating a difficult transition, or simply needs someone willing to listen, FOCO Veterans is here to help.
We help veterans find a direction, meet people who understand, and keep the camaraderie alive.
Different eras.
Same bond.
One of the most rewarding parts of FOCO Veterans is bringing veterans together across different generations.
Older veterans may not spend much time on social media. Younger veterans may be busy building careers and raising families. Getting everyone in the same place can be difficult, but it is incredibly worthwhile.
Different branches, generations, and experiences come together around a bond that does not disappear when military service ends.
Our community also includes allied veterans from NATO nations.
Because this mission comes from real-world experience.
We served. We got out. We saw the need. FOCO Veterans is building the kind of community and access to information we wished were easier to find.
Led by people who understand.
James Lane
James joined the United States Marine Corps in 2014 as an 0311 infantryman. He served with 3rd Battalion, 8th Marines at Camp Lejeune and completed two deployments.
After leaving the Marine Corps in 2018, his experience transitioning into civilian life helped inspire the creation of FOCO Veterans in 2020.
Chase McFarling
Chase joined the United States Marine Corps in 2014 as an 0311 infantryman.
He served two years at Camp David and later with 1st Battalion, 7th Marines at Twentynine Palms, completing two deployments.
Kenny Rodriguez
Kenny entered the United States Marine Corps in 2013 as a 5811 military policeman.
His service included Okinawa with 3rd Law Enforcement Battalion and the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, followed by service stateside with 2nd Law Enforcement Battalion.
